中文簡介

許多新的天文觀測儀器，在各種波長已經(jīng)和正在不斷發(fā)展。因此，大量的工作正在投入到新的數(shù)據(jù)分析技術(shù)中，以應(yīng)對這些儀器收集的數(shù)據(jù)流。實驗天文學是發(fā)表有關(guān)天體物理儀器和在所有波長場進行天文學所需方法的當代科學興趣論文的媒介。實驗天文學出版全文文章，研究信件和評論的發(fā)展，檢測技術(shù)，儀器，數(shù)據(jù)分析和圖像處理技術(shù)。偶爾會出版一些專題，深入介紹與特定項目（如衛(wèi)星實驗或地面望遠鏡）相關(guān)的儀器和/或分析，或?qū)ｉT技術(shù)。

Many new instruments for observing astronomical objects at a variety of wavelengths have been and are continually being developed. Consequently, a vast amount of effort is being put into new data analysis techniques to cope with rivers of data collected by these instruments.Experimental Astronomy is a medium for the publication of papers of contemporary scientific interest on astrophysical instrumentation and methods necessary for the conduct of astronomy at all wavelength fields.Experimental Astronomy publishes full-length articles, research letters and reviews on developments in detection techniques, instruments, and data analysis and image processing techniques. Occasional special issues are published, giving an in-depth presentation of the instrumentation and/or analysis connected with specific projects, such as satellite experiments or ground-based telescopes, or of specialized techniques.
