《水質研究期刊》發(fā)表經(jīng)同行評議的學術文章，涉及以下一般主題領域:當前和正在出現(xiàn)的污染物對水生生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的影響水生生態(tài)學(生態(tài)水文學、生態(tài)水力學、入侵物種、生物多樣性和瀕危水生物種)養(yǎng)護和保護水生環(huán)境負責資源開發(fā)和水質(采礦、林業(yè)、水電、石油和天然氣)飲用水、廢水和雨水處理技術與策略擴散污染(城市和農業(yè)徑流)對水質的影響和解決方法工業(yè)用水質量使用過的水:再利用和資源回收地下水質量(管理、修復、水力壓裂、遺留污染物)評估地表水及地下水質與水質有關的規(guī)例、經(jīng)濟、策略及政策與水質有關的社會科學問題偏遠地區(qū)的水質寒冷氣候下的水質水質研究期刊是季刊。它是一個討論水生環(huán)境的原始研究的論壇，應該報告促進該領域理解的新的和重要的發(fā)現(xiàn)。特別鼓勵評論文章。

The Water Quality Research Journal publishes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles on the following general subject areas:Impact of current and emerging contaminants on aquatic ecosystemsAquatic ecology (ecohydrology and ecohydraulics, invasive species, biodiversity, and aquatic species at risk)Conservation and protection of aquatic environmentsResponsible resource development and water quality (mining, forestry, hydropower, oil and gas)Drinking water, wastewater and stormwater treatment technologies and strategiesImpacts and solutions of diffuse pollution (urban and agricultural run-off) on water qualityIndustrial water qualityUsed water: Reuse and resource recoveryGroundwater quality (management, remediation, fracking, legacy contaminants)Assessment of surface and subsurface water qualityRegulations, economics, strategies and policies related to water qualitySocial science issues in relation to water qualityWater quality in remote areasWater quality in cold climatesThe Water Quality Research Journal is a quarterly publication. It is a forum for original research dealing with the aquatic environment, and should report new and significant findings that advance the understanding of the field. Critical review articles are especially encouraged.
