地熱能源——科學、社會和技術(shù)側(cè)重于基礎(chǔ)研究和應用研究，這是部署地熱能源開發(fā)和集成技術(shù)所必需的，并將其作為未來能源組合的一個關(guān)鍵要素。貢獻包括地質(zhì)、地球物理和地球化學研究、地熱田勘探、儲層特征和建模、開發(fā)提高生產(chǎn)力的方法，以及實現(xiàn)工廠穩(wěn)健和經(jīng)濟運行的方法。地熱能——科學、社會和技術(shù)的作用是研究單個系統(tǒng)組件之間的相互作用，同時考慮到從水庫開發(fā)到地熱能經(jīng)濟供應的整個過程。

Geothermal Energy – Science, Society and Technology focuses on fundamental and applied research needed to deploy technologies for developing and integrating geothermal energy as one key element in the future energy portfolio. Contributions include geological, geophysical, and geochemical studies, exploration of geothermal fields, reservoir characterization and modeling, development of productivity-enhancing methods, and approaches to achieve robust and economic plant operation. Geothermal Energy – Science, Society and Technology serves to examine the interaction of individual system components while taking the whole process into account, from the development of the reservoir to the economic provision of geothermal energy.
